How do I make an appointment?

You can schedule a salt session online at our website or by calling 570-731-0920.

What should I wear in the salt booth?

For your comfort and convenience, we offer a towel for you to use during your session. If you choose to remain clothed, we ask that you wear clothing free of dirt and debris and avoid heavy colognes or perfumes. If you want to maximize the benefit to your skin during the session, please place the towel provided on the bench in the booth if entering disrobed. We kindly request that you remove your footwear at the front entrance and do not wear any footwear that are worn outside through the studio or in the booth.

How long are the sessions?

Salt sessions are usually fifteen (15) minutes long. If you feel like you would like a shorter session, we can reduce the time to ten (10) minutes.

How often should I use the salt booth?

We can discuss your health and wellness goals during your first visit (and throughout your package use). In most cases, we hope to see you no less than once a week, but in many instances, to create optimal results, 2-3 time per week might be most beneficial depending on your goals. Using our salt booth is a fantastic enhancement to any wellness routine.

Can more than one person use the salt booth at a time?

Our booth can accomodate one guests comfortably (two adults CANNOT be accomodated). If you would like to have a child on your lap, please let us know that you are bringing them along. Please note that we do require each guest to sign all necessary waivers (a custodial adult must sign for minors).

What if I'm running late or need to cancel my scheduled session?

We ask that you cancel your appointment at least four (4) hours in advance of your scheduled session. No call, no show, and failure to cancel within four (4) hours for single session bookings will be counted as fulfilled. If clients with a package cancel outside of the requested notice or no show, a session will be deducted from you package. We will do our best to make accomodations if you are running late. If there is not another guest scheduled following your session, you will be able to have your fully scheduled time. If there is a guest scheduled, we will offer you a shortened session. Please contact us in the event of extenuating circumstances.

What kind of salt is used in the salt booth?

We only use PURE pharmaceutical grade salt in our SALT Chamber Salt Booth. There are a variety of salts out there that are used in salt rooms, salt lamps, salt decor, and spas. Dead Sea salt, Himalayan salt, and other blends often have trace elements, clay or dirt particles, and various mineral contenet depending on the region they were cultivated. Some of theses trace materials could cause adverse effects if inhaled. We are commited to only using pure pharmaceutical grade salt.

What should I do during my salt session?

We encourage you to rest and relax during your session. You can bring a favorite book or magazine to enjoy or opt to use your time for mindfulness and meditation. We do reccomend that you leave your personal tech (tablets, phones, etc.) outside of the booth.

How does dry salt therapy work?

Dry, pharmaceutical grade salt is heated and then it is ground and crushed into very tiny microparticles in a machine called a halogenerator. These dry aerosol microparticles of salt are then dispersed into the SALT Booth. As you sit and relax, the microparticles are inhaled.

Is salt therapy safe for children?

According to the Salt Therapy Association, "Yes, salt therapy is safe for children. It is a highly reccomended natural treatment. There are no potentially harmful side effects. The treatment is suitable for children of any age (as young as one-month old). Interestingly, children respond to the therapy more quickly than do adults." *As with any treatment, results may vary. We always reccomend that our clients consult their physician or health care provider regarding salt therapy.

Are there any side effects fron dry salt therapy?

Side effects are infrequent. Some people might experience a mild tickle in the throat or an increase in cough due to excess mucous buildup. This is an indication that therapy is working. Other effects might be a slight skin irritation for those with hypersensitive skin.

While there are many clinical and scientific studies conducted on the use of dry salt therapy throughout the world, the FDA has not evaluated the statements made throughout this website. Dry salt therapy is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. As with any type of treatment, results may vary. We always encourage our clients to consult their healthcare provider with before initiating any new wellness or fitness activity.
